Bilingual IES José Planes

TRAVELLING TO LONDON. THIS IS OUR EXPERIENCE OF THIS AMAZING TRIP  The last 12th of December 17 students from 2nd of Bachillerato and two of their teachers, Margarita Tortosa and myself , Mercedes Escavy,  started our  trip to London.      We spent five days in the capital  visiting the most important places: The Natural History Museum, The Science Museum, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Regent´s Park, Camden Town Market, Greenwich village and the observatory... Lots of awesome sites!  Moreover, we were invited to the Spanish Embassy where we met many young scientists who are working and researching in the United Kingdom. It was an amazing experience for all of us.   Every place was extremely interesting although, to be honest, the best memories will undoubtedly be the sharing of the trip with my students, who are really especial. CHRISTMAS CAROL CONTEST Christmas time can be incredibly funny and here at Jose Planes it really was! On December the 21st, students of all ages successfully took part in an amazing Christmas Carol singing contest where they had lots of fun. All of them came onstage and regaled us with tons of their art, creativity and magic. We had the chance to listen to wonderful cover songs of the most popular Christmas Carols, ranging from classic tunes as Rudolf the Reindeer or Jingle Bells to most modern and catchy hits like All I want for Christmas is you or George Michaels’s widely known Last Christmas . Some groups performed nice choreographies as they dusted off their tambourines and Christmas red and white hats. On such a fantastic soiree, all of them did a fantastic job and the jury had a hard time to decide the winners of the contest.
